1 1/2 cups sugar (340 g)
1 1/2 cups butter, softened (340 g)
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extracts (30 ml)
4 cups all-purpose flour (440 g)
1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
1 teaspoon baking soda (5 g)
1 teaspoon cream of tartar (5 g)
Frosting
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (340 g)
3 tablespoons butter, softened (45 ml)
1 tablespoon vanilla extracts (15 ml)
Various food coloring
Colored sprinkles

In a mixing bowl, Blend sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla and then beat well.
Gradually add up dry ingredients to creamed mixture until completely blended.
Cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the chilled dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Slice dough with various shaped cookie cutters dipped in flour.
Place cookies in an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
Transfer on wire racks to cool.
Prepare the Frosting
Mix together sugar, butter, vanilla and milk until desired degree of spreading consistency is met; Stir in milk if you want a thinner frosting.
Add food coloring to obtain desired color.
Spread frosting evenly over cookies and decorate with sprinkles.
